Video and images emerged Wednesday of the current Target Center scoreboard being lowered to the arena floor for a final time, removed permanently to make way for much-needed change.
It's part of a massive $129 million full-arena renovation. The new scoreboard will feature four 18x33-foot video display boards the project details call, "the largest center-hung arena scoreboard in the Upper Midwest."
The last time Target Center updated its arena scoreboard - replacing individual Brady-Bunch style screens - the Timberwolves advanced to the Western Conference finals the following summer.
