Cam Morrison's overtime goal at 9 minutes, 23 seconds gave Notre Dame a 3-2 victory over Ohio State in the championship game of the Big Ten men's hockey tournament in South Bend, Ind., before 5,515 fans.

The Fighting Irish, who were the conference regular-season champions in their first season since leaving Hockey East, took a 2-0 lead in the opening period. Bo Brauer scored at 4 minutes, 9 seconds and Matt Hellickson, on a power play, at 14:30.

The Buckeyes' Brendon Kearney scored a goal in the seventh minute of the middle period. Matt Miller of Ohio State tied the score at 1:07 of the third.

Cale Morris stopped 41 shots for Notre Dame and Sean Romeo 35 for Ohio State.

Michigan Tech 2, Northern Michigan 0: Greyson Reitmeier's fifth goal of the season at 5:36 of the second period proved to be the game-winner as the Huskies beat the host Wildcats for the WCHA tournament title and an automatic spot in the NCAA tournament before an announced sellout crowd of 4,260.

Patrick Munson stopped 21 shots for Michigan Tech (22-16-5), but he only needed to make three saves in the third.

Joel l'Esperance got an empty-net goal with 47 seconds left.

Atte Tolvanen stopped 19 shots for Northern Michigan (25-15-3).
