Not a one-man show

Linebacker DeMarcus Ware could cause headaches for the Vikings but he isn't the only member of the Dallas defense who has the ability to cause problems.

There has been plenty of focus this week on how the Vikings are going to handle DeMarcus Ware (11 sacks) on Sunday, but Minnesota offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell said Thursday the Cowboys linebacker is one of several players the Vikings are going to have to account for in Sunday's playoff game.

"If it was just one guy, you might alter your scheme a little bit to take care of that one guy," Bevell said. "But they've got a good guy on the other side. We talked about [Jay] Ratliff in the middle. They've got good linebackers. There's a lot of things you have to take care of. I think that they can take advantage if you started to do one thing and say, 'Hey, this is the guy we want to take care of.' I think it's up to us to make sure we continue to mix it."

The guy on the other side of Ware, of course, is linebacker Anthony Spencer. He finished the regular season with six sacks and is playing very good football right now. Ratliff is the Cowboys standout nose tackle. Chip is working on a story for the paper (and Internet) that will address Ratliff's impact on Dallas' defense and the role he might play in this game.
