Rain, mountain snow and high wind will target the Northwest overnight andMonday along with a Pacific storm and cold front.Overnight into Monday, rain and wind will hit the Pacific Northwest, includingthe I-5 corridor spanning Portland and Seattle. Local rainfall will reach 1 to2 inches as winds gust 30 to 40 mph.
Rain will become snow along the northern Cascades with the snow level loweringto the passes.
On Monday, the storm center will track eastward in western Canada. Rain andhigher snow will pelt the northern Rockies in the northern half of Idaho andnorthwestern Montana.
East of the Rockies, much of the open Plains of Montana will get a blast ofhigh wind on Monday. Speeds in north-central Montana could reach 60 to 70 mphin gusts.
