Northwest Remains Stormy

Ninety percent of all storms that enter North America arrive here. Some ofthe storms turn north and fade away over Arctic regions. Others turn toward thesoutheast and become big weather producers in the United States.The current storm has been producing rainy, windy weather from the Oregoncoastline northward, and moderate to heavy snow has been falling in themountains. The stormy weather will persist into Wednesday. Be prepared fordifficult travel over the mountain passes. Highways will also be quite slick innortheastern Oregon, eastern Washington and western Idaho due to a icy mix ofsnow and freezing rain.
