While California gets hammered by yet another storm today, only spotty rain andsnow will reach the Northwest. In fact, across the interior, the northernRockies will be dry today with partly to mostly cloudy skies.Seattle and Portland can expect scattered rain showers instead of the soakingrain and storms targeting California. Mountain snow showers could make a fewspots in the major passes slippery. Accumulations of 1-3 inches are in storefor the Cascades with most of that snow falling overnight.
As the powerful storm begins moving inland overnight into Thursday, a steadyshield of snow will expand across the Great Basin into the northernRockies.
