After a soggy weekend for many areas along the Pacific Northwest coast, moredrenching rain is on the way. An intense low pressure system moving from thePacific Ocean into British Columbia Monday night and Tuesday will drop bucketsof rain along coastal communities.The rain will be wind driven from coastal British Columbia south intoWashington state and Oregon. Rainfall amounts into Tuesday will top 2 inchesalong several coastal areas, while inland rain will add up to over an inch.
The higher elevations will continue to receive snow through Tuesday. Snow willbe measured in feet at pass level with several feet likely at Mount Baker,Paradise and Rainier. The snow level will drop to as low as 2,500 feet, withseveral inches below Snowqualmie Pass.
