Northfield police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in the snow Sunday.
Authorities arrived at the 400 block of E. 3rd Street after receiving a report about an unresponsive woman at 3:10 p.m. Sunday.
Officers found her body in the snow near a residence. Because of conditions, police believe the woman's body had been in the snow for at least a day, according the Northfield Police Department.
Police Chief Monte Nelson said the residence near where she was found was not her address.
Officers found no signs of a struggle or suspicious activity.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's office will perform the autopsy. The police are withholding her name until her family is notified.
