Snow will spread from the northern Rockies onto the northern High Plains todayas a storm system pushes through. While this will not be a major storm, 3 to 6inches of snow will still pile up from central Idaho to western NorthDakota.The heaviest snow will bury the mountains of western Montana, northwesternWyoming and central Idaho with up to a foot of snow through tonight. Travelersin these areas will face slippery to snowcovered roads.
Gusty winds will also develop over the northern Plains tonight. Blowing snowwill significantly reduce visibility, making travel especially treacherous attimes along parts of I-94 and I-90.
