Friends, family, champions of the environment lost a big soul April 2014, Roland Sigurdson.

He was in charge of the DNR's MinnAqua program, which teaches kids and families about fishing, water quality and aquatic ecology. He lived fully, happily, deeply. He loved his family and friends openly, especially his wife Stacey and young daughter Natalie.

His life is happily remembered even if his death saddens everyone he touched. His smile was as big as his spirit and he was generous with his time, energy and support to everyone he met.

We will never forget Roland and we are all a better person for knowing him.
