High temperatures will be near freezing from New York to Boston with mid-30s from Philadelphia to Washington, D.C. Enough of a westerly breeze will blow to make it feel another 5-10 degrees colder at times, but today will still feel less harsh than recent days. Across the interior Northeast, highs will only be in the 20s.
Later in the week, a lessening of the chill will unfold with East Coast temperatures topping out at 40 degrees to at least southern New England by Thursday afternoon.
