One winter storm will target the Northeast later today, but that may not be theonly storm to strike the region this week. It is possible that all of theingredients will come together for a potent storm to strengthen across theNortheast late in the week. Two key ingredients must come together for the development of this potentialmonster. The storm that brings snow to Texas today would have to reach theNortheast at the same time arctic air invades.

More details of the storm will become clearer during the coming days. The stormmay never even take shape or it may be substantially less potent than someindicators show at the present time. One way or another, it would behooveNortheasterners to keep an eye on this one, as it could yield a disruptivesnowstorm beginning on Thursday.
