Northeast Cooldown Awaits

The mild temperatures and sunny skies across the mid-Atlantic and Northeastwill continue into Saturday; however, change is on the way for the second halfof the weekend.A back door cold front, which is quite common in the Northeast at this timeof year, will advance into upstate New York and New England Saturday afternoon,bringing a few showers with it. Behind the front, northeast winds will delivermuch cooler air to the region.

Temperatures in Boston will likely begin dropping Saturday afternoon asclouds increase and showers pass through the area. Temperatures will remainmild in New York City and Philadelphia Saturday before falling to near 60degrees Sunday with mostly cloudy skies and a few showers.
