BROOKLYN PARK
Thursday forum on immigrant experiencesA community conversation on immigrant experiences in Minnesota is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. Thursday at the Brooklyn Park City Council chambers.
The event, hosted by the Advocates for Human Rights and African Immigrant Services, is presented as an opportunity for immigrants in Minnesota to share stories about living here and to discuss challenges and opportunities for their communities.
The information will contribute to the Advocates' One Voice Minnesota Monitoring Project. "The project seeks to investigate to what extent Minnesota welcomes all of its residents and to evaluate how immigrant experiences in Minnesota compare to international human rights standards," the organization says.
The council chambers are at 5200 85th Av. N. in Brooklyn Park.
