High school class of 1963 plans reunionThe Anoka High School Class of 1963 is planning its 50th reunion, to be held the weekend of Sept. 13-15.

Hand-held GPS units available for rentRent a hand-held GPS (global positioning system) or bring your own and travel around Coon Rapids Regional Dam Park following clue sheets.

Virtual geocaching involves finding a natural feature or fixed structure using GPS coordinates.

The 24th annual event, sponsored by the Parks and Recreation Department, includes weekly clues for Plymouth residents to search for the medallion. There is no registration for the free event.

The resident who finds the medallion receives a $250 Visa gift card. Weekly clues will be on the city website, or call the Recreation Leisure Line at 763-509-5213 to hear the clues.

The first clue was released Jan. 10, and the other clues will be released on Thursday and Jan. 24 and 31.

The medallion is hidden on city property, above ground, and part of it will be in plain view. The prize will be awarded Feb. 2. All Plymouth residents are eligible except city employees and their families.

Free family events planned at MacPhailMusicians and a narrator will bring to life the children's book "Max Found Two Sticks" when the MacPhail Center for Music sponsors free Family Music Events from 10-11 a.m. and 11 a.m.-noon on Jan. 26.

Before and after each concert, kids will get a chance to meet the musicians and try the instruments.
