BROOKLYN PARK
3 finalists named for city manager's job
After a nationwide search, the Brooklyn Park City Council has named three finalists for the position of city manager. The candidates are Anne Norris, currently Crystal's city manager; Michael Redlinger, Moorhead's city manager, and Jay Stroebel, deputy city coordinator in Minneapolis.
The three were chosen from a large pool of candidates.
Brooklyn Park runs under a city manager-council form of government, and the city manager is appointed by the Brooklyn Park City Council. The city manager is responsible for day-to-day operations of the city and is equivalent to a company's chief executive.
Jamie Verbrugge was Brooklyn Park's last city manager. He left in February to become Bloomington's city manager.
