Robbery. Officers responded to an alarm call at Aldi Foods, 12913 Central Av. NE. An officer observed two men inside the store who attempted to flee. According to police reports, two store employees were being held at gunpoint inside the store with their wrists tied. There was also a customer in the store shopping at the time of the holdup. The two men, both 22, were captured and arrested.

Child found. A woman called police to report that she found a small child walking alone in the 9800 block of University Avenue NW. According to police, when officers arrived, the 33-year-old mother was on the scene. She told police she had fallen asleep and when she awoke, she began looking for her 2-year-old. An officer advised her to watch her children more carefully and to be awake when her children are awake. A report was also forwarded to Anoka County child protection.

Property damage. A woman called police to report that flowers were dying at a cemetery in the 11800 block of University Avenue NW. The woman noticed a strong chemical smell and believed someone had killed the flowers. There were no suspects or witnesses.
Property damage. A man called police to report that a juvenile male pulled one of the man's flowers out of the ground on the 700 block of Northdale Boulevard NW. The 14-year-old boy admitted to the damage and apologized to the man. The boy's mother said she would pay for the damage. No charges were filed.

Animal complaint. Police received a report that someone was dumping exotic fish into the river near the 5200 block of East River Road NE. An officer contacted the Department of Natural Resources and a conservation officer handled the complaint.
MAY 28
Burglary. Police responded to a home on the 6300 block of Monroe Street NE. regarding a burglary. When police arrived, the resident said he had found a business card from the Fridley Fire Department taped to his damaged door. It turned out the Fire Department had forced entry at the wrong address when responding to a medical situation.

Suspicious activity. Someone called police to report that two men were shooting at each other near a business on the 5800 block of University Avenue NE. Officers located a person near the business who had set off fireworks. The homeowner was cited for a fireworks offense.

Indecent exposure. According to police reports, a man flagged down an officer to report that he had observed two males having sex on a trail of a small park in the 9100 block of South Highway Drive. An officer drove down the trail and observed a nude man and woman having sex. Police arrested a 36-year-old woman and a 47-year-old man for indecent exposure.

Disturbance. Police were called to the 2200 block of Chesire Circle regarding a disturbance. A 16-year-old girl was cited for underage consumption and a 14-year-old girl was cited for trespassing.
ST. ANTHONY

Disturbance. Police received a report about a disturbance in Silverwood Park, 2950 County Road E. The caller had heard someone scream. Officers found clothing on a picnic table but did not see anyone. They eventually found three people swimming in a lake in their underclothing. Officers said they detected alcohol on their breath. An 18-year-old man and 20-year-old woman were arrested for underage consumption, trespassing and being in the park after hours. A 21-year-old woman was arrested for trespassing, being in the park after hours and swimming in a prohibited area.
