APRIL 14

Theft. Police were called to Cub Foods, 2050 Northdale Blvd. NW., regarding a theft. A suspect reportedly had put nine pairs of sunglasses, two energy coffee drinks and a 12-pack of beer in a handbasket and left the store without paying for them. She attempted to flee on foot, police said, but two loss-prevention officers detained her until police arrived. Police arrested the 28-year-old woman for theft.

APRIL 2

Found property. Two women called police to report that they had found a large bag with a shoe sticking out at one end in the 5700 block of East River Road NE. The women thought it might be a body, but police found that the bag contained clothing and shoes.

APRIL 6

Disturbing the peace. Someone called police to report that people were having loud sex at an apartment on the 6500 block of East River Road NE. An officer heard music coming from inside the apartment and advised the renter of the complaint. She stated that she understood.

APRIL 10

Fire. Police assisted the fire department at a house fire on the 6200 block of Alden Way NE. The fire started in an attached garage due to a grilling accident, authorities said. The home and vehicles parked in and near the garage were a total loss.

APRIL 13

Animal complaint. A 49-year-old woman from a home on the 7400 block of West Circle NE. called police with an animal complaint. According to police reports, an officer went and spoke with the woman, who said there was a cat crying under her home and it was disturbing her. She gave the officer a can of cat food and asked the officer to feed the cat. The officer opened the can and placed it under a tree near her home.

Property damage. Officers responded to a report of vandalism in the 1100 block of Chestnut Lane NE. Someone had thrown paint all over a vehicle.

LEXINGTON

APRIL 15

Theft. A 25-year-old woman called police to report a theft at Bamboo Betty's Bar, 3800 Restwood Road. According to police reports, the woman told police she left her vehicle in the parking lot overnight. The owner of Bamboo Betty's said that when he arrived in the morning, the trunk was open and he closed it. The woman said she had left her purse in the trunk and her wallet was missing. There were no signs of forced entry. The woman said she believed she accidentally had hit the trunk button on her key ring the night before, leaving the trunk opened.

APRIL 21

Property damage. Police were called on a property damage report at a home on the 23000 block of Fontana Street NE. Someone had turned on an outdoor faucet, causing it to flood the home.

APRIL 14

Underage consumption. Someone called police to report underage drinking taking place on the 1000 block of Montclair Lane. Two 15-year-old boys were cited for underage consumption and an 18-year-old man was arrested for underage consumption, obstructing the legal process and disorderly conduct.

APRIL 18

Theft. A man called police to report that his minivan had been stolen from the driveway of his home on the 2900 block of County Road 10. The keys had been left in the vehicle.

Theft. Someone stole a vehicle from the 4300 block of 217th Avenue NW. The keys had been left in the vehicle.

ST. ANTHONY

APRIL 11

Theft. A 9-year-old girl reported to police that her bike was stolen while she was inside the Wal-Mart store at 3800 Silver Lake Rd. She had left her bike unlocked for a few moments to go into the store, and when she came out it was gone. She had seen a male riding away on it.
