APRIL 3

Property damage. A woman called police to report that someone put glue on the locks of her door to her apartment in the 9400 block of Polk Street NE.

Theft. A 34-year-old man called police to report that someone stole the car breathalyzer from his vehicle that was parked in the driveway of a home on the 8700 block of Hamline Avenue NE. The vehicle was unlocked.

Theft. Someone stole a grill from the yard of a home on the 12000 block of Gettysburg Avenue.

APRIL 3

Property damage. Officers were called to the 2400 block of 109th Avenue NW. at 6:10 a.m. after someone saw a statue of the Virgin Mary with its head missing in the middle of the roadway. Officers located four boys near the statue. The boys, ages 12, 13, 14 and 15, told officers that they were supposed to be staying at a friend's house but were actually at a girl's house all night. The boys admitted to putting the statue in the road. They were released to their parents and charges against them were pending.

MARCH 28

Suspicious activity. Someone called police to report that a man was arguing with employees at the Holiday station at 200 57th Av. NE., and that another man on the scene was carrying a gun. An officer found that the man with a gun was a security officer who possessed a permit to carry the weapon.

MARCH 29

Animal complaint. Someone called police to report there was an alligator in a home on the 1600 block of 68th Avenue NE. Police confiscated the alligator.

Littering. Police stopped a man on the 7400 block of Hwy. 65 NE. He was arrested for driving after suspension of his license, possession of a small amount of marijuana and littering. He had thrown the marijuana on the ground in an attempt to discard the evidence, police said.

MARCH 31

Suspicious vehicle. Someone called police to report that two females were lying in a van and possibly deceased on the 4600 block of 2nd Street NE. The caller also stated it appeared the window had been shot out. According to police reports, officers found the window was missing and the women were intoxicated but not dead. No keys were in the vehicle. Both women were transported to a nearby relative.

APRIL 4

Theft. An unsecured boat was stolen from the side of a garage at a home on the 3000 block of 159th Avenue NE.

MARCH 30

Theft. Someone reportedly stole four gnomes from the yard of a home in the 15500 block of Yakima Street NW.

Animal complaint. A man called police to report that he was attacked by a dog at a home on the 15900 block of Dolomite Street NW. According to police reports, the man, a Jehovah's Witness, was at the front door of the home. He was told by the homeowners to meet them at the back door. When the man walked around to the back, he said he was attacked by a bulldog that was on a chain.

MARCH 31

Theft. A woman from a home in the 5600 block of 154th Cove NW. called police to report that her vehicle was stolen from her driveway. The keys to the vehicle were in her purse, but her purse had been left in the unlocked vehicle.
