MAR. 8

Theft. A 19-year-old woman from a home on the 10700 block of Sanctuary Drive NE. reported that a camera was stolen. She said she had had a party the night before and there were five people at the her home whom she did not know. She said she suspected one of them took the camera.

MAR. 10

Drunken driving. Someone called police to report that a person had fallen asleep behind the wheel of a vehicle in the drive-through at Taco Bell, 10729 University Av. NE. Police found the woman and said a portable breath test showed a blood alcohol concentration of .187. Police made an arrest on suspicion of drunken driving.

MAR. 10

Animal complaint. Someone called police at 2:03 a.m. about dogs barking outside a home on the 2800 block of 114th Avenue NW. An officer saw two dogs barking. The owner opened the door and let the dogs in as the officer approached. According to police reports, she told the officer she had let the dogs out and had fallen asleep on the couch. She was mailed a citation for disturbing the peace and animal complaint of dogs barking.

MAR. 14

Theft. A snowblower was stolen from an unlocked shed located in the back yard of a home on the 8200 block of Mississippi Boulevard NW.

FRIDLEY

MAR. 16

Animal complaint. Someone called police to report that a muskrat was stuck in a chain-link fence separating two properties in the 5800 block of Washington Street NE. An officer helped the caller, and they were able to free the muskrat without hurting it or damaging the fence.

Suspicious activity. An officer located an occupied vehicle in the parking lot at Islands of Peace park, 200 Island Park Dr. NE. According to police reports, two adults, a man and a woman, were inside the vehicle. The woman told the officer they were dating and were about to have consensual sexual intercourse, the police report said. The officer warned them about their activity and about being in the park after hours. The couple apologized and left the park.

MAR. 18

Domestic. An officer went to a home on the 100 block of 83rd Avenue NE. on a domestic call. According to police reports the woman who called said that she and her husband were arguing about some unknown phone numbers he had called. The husband picked up her guinea pig and held it by the back of the neck, causing it distress. She wanted to know if that constituted animal cruelty. The officer told her that it probably did not. That is all she wanted to know and did not want any further assistance.

RAMSEY

MAR. 20

Drugs. A vehicle was stopped by police on the 1400 block of Dysprosium Street NW for loose equipment. An officer found more than 142 grams of marijuana in the vehicle. The driver was issued a traffic warning. The passenger, a 23-year-old man, was cited for possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia.

ST. ANTHONY

MAR. 26

Theft. A man from the 2800 block of 32nd Avenue NE. reported a theft. He said that someone had taken the spare tire from underneath his pickup truck. This had occurred sometime since December 2009.

MAR. 27

Welfare check. Someone called police to check the welfare of a person lying under a tree on the 2600 block of Kenzie Terrace. Police found an apparently intoxicated man sleeping under a tree. The man refused medical attention. During a routine check, it was discovered that the man had two outstanding warrants for his arrest in Ramsey County. He was taken into custody.
