Traffic violation. Officers pulled over a vehicle for loud exhaust and driving misconduct on Central Avenue NE. and 89th Avenue NE. According to police reports, the female driver said she did not have her driver's license with her, and that the purse in the passenger's seat was not hers. She also gave officers a false name, police said. Police identified her as a 19-year-old woman whose license had been suspended; she also had two outstanding warrants for her arrest in Hennepin County. She was arrested for giving police false information, traffic violations and warrants.

FEB. 10

Drugs. Someone called police to report a suspicious vehicle that was stopped in the middle of the road for more than 15 minutes at Tyler Street NE. and 127th Lane NE. Police found an unresponsive 18-year-old man in the driver's seat with the vehicle still running and in gear. The man's foot was on the brake. He was sweating heavily and his head was rolled back. Police requested an ambulance. There was a marijuana pipe in his left hand, a lighter in his right hand and possible narcotics in plain view, police said. The man was transported to the hospital. The substance found in plain view tested positive for heroin, police said. The man was arrested for drunken driving, possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.

FEB. 12

Theft. Someone called police to report witnessing a vehicle back into a snowbank and hit a tree, and then two suspects running from the vehicle on the 10800 block of Dahlia Street NW. Police located the owner of the vehicle at Willy's Bar and transported him to the scene. The owner said he had parked his car on the 2600 block of 109th Lane NW. and walked to Willy's with a friend. He said he had left his car keys under the driver's seat.

FEB. 15

Disorderly conduct. A man called police to say he had been assaulted by a comic and a bouncer at Willy's Bar, 2501 Coon Rapids Blvd. NW. Officers interviewed the owner of the bar, the comic and the bouncer, and all three said that the man had been belligerent and had charged onto the stage to confront the comic. The comic said he struck the man in the face in self-defense. An officer interviewed the man at his home, and he said it was an unprovoked assault by the comic. The man told the officer he was so scared, he soiled his pants, and he showed the officer his underwear to prove it. No charges were filed, however.

FRIDLEY

FEB. 6

Aid EMTs. Police were dispatched to Interstate 694 and East River Road NE. to assist an Allina Ambulance. An intoxicated man was being transported when he jumped out of the ambulance to urinate. Officers assisted the man back into the ambulance and stood by while paramedics applied restraints.

Animal complaint. A man called police to report that an opossum was in the backyard of his home on the 1500 block of 60th Avenue NE. He said his dogs were barking at it and that the opossum had gotten into a trash bag. An officer advised the man to take the trash away and that the opossum would go away later. The man was also advised to keep his dogs away from the animal.

FEB. 7

Assault. A caller from an apartment complex on the 5600 block of East River Road NE. reported witnessing somebody being assaulted with a Taser gun. Officers found that an intoxicated man and his friends were using a hand-held stun gun on one another for fun. Police confiscated the stun gun. A sober adult removed the 25-year-old intoxicated man from the premises.

FEB. 11

Drunken driving. Police arrested a 43-year-old man for drunken driving about 10:30 p.m. at Restwood Road and Lake Drive NE. He had been pulled over because he did not have his headlights on.

FEB. 7

Theft. A man called police to report a theft of a vehicle at his home on the 4000 block of Foss Road. According to police reports, the man said he pulled his 2007 Toyota into the garage and left his garage door open. When he returned to the garage the next morning, the vehicle was gone.
