JAN. 3

Theft. Three lighted holiday figures were stolen from the yard of a home on the 14500 block of Bluebird Street NW.

CENTERVILLE

DEC. 28

Vandalism. Someone put baby powder and feminine pads on a vehicle on the 7200 block of Unity Avenue.

CIRCLE PINES

DEC. 24

Property damage. An intoxicated 30-year-old man was arrested for property damage, obstruction with force and disorderly conduct on the 100 block of South Drive after he allegedly broke three windows at a home and fought with police officers.

COON RAPIDS

DEC. 29

Theft. Approximately 1,000 pounds of copper pipe was stolen from a building undergoing demolition on the 11000 block of Mississippi Boulevard NW.

Fire. Two boys, ages 7 and 8, were lighting leaves and branches on the 100 block of 111th Lane NW. An officer took the boys home. The parents said they would discipline the children.

DEC. 31

Child found. A 1-year-old girl was found wandering in the hallway at Intown Suites, 420 Coon Rapids Blvd. NW. Officers and staff spent more than an hour looking for her parents. Arrangements were made for Anoka County social services to place the child in foster care. An hour later, the child's mother, age 32, came to the lobby. She said the child had been sleeping so she thought it was all right to go to Wal-Mart. The child had been throwing up earlier and she had gone to purchase Pedialyte, she said; it had taken so long because the lines were long.

FRIDLEY

DEC. 24

Parking violation. An officer observed a woman park in a handicapped space on the 8400 block of University Avenue NE. and walk quickly into a store. The vehicle owner did have a handicap permit, but it had been issued to a male. The 42-year-old woman was cited for illegally parking in a handicapped space and the permit was confiscated.

JAN. 1

Suspicious activity. A woman from a home on the 5600 block of Matterhorn Drive NE. reported hearing noises around her house. An officer discovered that it was snow falling from the trees onto the house that was causing the noise. It was very windy outside.

Check welfare. Police received a report that there was a very drunk woman sitting in a vehicle at gas pumps on the 5600 block of Hackmann Avenue NE. An officer determined that she was sober; she was just very unsteady on her stiletto heels.

HAM LAKE

DEC. 31

Theft. Two tractors, a seed spreader and other tools were stolen from the yard of a home on the 16000 block of Bataan Street NE.

NOWTHEN

JAN. 4

Theft. Two tires and rims were stolen off of a vehicle parked in a lot on the 8100 block of Viking Boulevard NW.

SPRING LAKE PARK

DEC. 26

Missing child. Officers responded to Ceci's Beauty Salon, 8347 University Av. NE., regarding a missing child. A canine unit and the Fridley police department assisted in the search for the 6-year-old child, who had been missing for 30 minutes. The child finally was found, hiding in the trunk of the mother's vehicle.

ST. ANTHONY

JAN. 4

Theft. A 77-year-old woman was arrested for stealing $12.48 worth of merchandise from Cub Foods, 3930 Silver Lake Road.

Theft. A 1995 Dodge truck was reported stolen from Lowry Grove Trailer Park on the 2500 block of Lowry Avenue.
