FRIDLEY

MARCH 30

Animal complaint. Officers responded to a report of an aggressive squirrel in the 7400 block of University Avenue NE. They collected information and forwarded it to a community service officer.

APRIL 2

Animal complaint. Officers responded to a request to check the welfare of a woman calling in an animal complaint in the 7300 block of Baker Avenue NE. They spoke with a 52-year-old woman and told her to contact the police about her complaint when she was sober.

LAUDERDALE

MARCH 20

Drunken driving. A 30-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving in the area of Larpenteur Avenue and Eustis Street. She refused to provide a breath sample, yelled threats and profanities at officers and physically resisted them. She was booked at the Ramsey County Jail for drunken driving, refusal to submit to a breath test and obstructing the legal process.

LEXINGTON

MARCH 30

Theft. A 2014 Hyundai Elantra was stolen from the 9200 block of Lake Drive.

MOUNDS VIEW

MARCH 25

Disorderly conduct. Officers responded to a report of a fight at the Mermaid Event Center, 2200 Mounds View Blvd. They arrested and cited a 25-year-old Georgia man for disorderly conduct.

MARCH 26

Theft. A 2006 Nissan Murano was stolen from the 7500 block of Silver Lake Road.

Drunken driving. A 52-year-old Mounds View man was arrested for drunken driving and driving after license revocation after hitting several vehicles in the 2600 block of Scotland Court.

NEW BRIGHTON

MARCH 18

Theft. A vehicle was broken into and a blanket taken from it in the 1900 block of 7th Street.

MARCH 24

Theft. Someone tried to buy a car dashboard TV/stereo unit with counterfeit currency in the 700 block of Long Lake Road. When questioned, the suspect grabbed the unit and drove off without paying.

NEWPORT

MARCH 21

Unusual smell. A resident in the 1600 block of 10th Avenue reported a rotten egg odor in the air outside that was so strong they could smell it inside their home. It was determined to be coming from a pond behind the home.

St. Anthony

MARCH 28

Drugs. A 20-year-old man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and a warrant following a traffic stop in the 3700 block of Stinson Boulevard. The passenger, an 18-year-old woman, also was arrested on a warrant.

WEST LAKELAND TOWNSHIP

MARCH 23

Neighbor complaint. Authorities checking a report of a burning plastic smell found wood and garbage burning in a backyard fire in the 1100 block of Omaha Avenue. A man at the address said his brother had started the fire but disappeared, and agreed to burn only wood.

WILLERNIE

MARCH 21

Suspicious male. A man pushing a wheelbarrow in the road after dark was reported in the area of Kimberly Road and Clyde Place. It was determined that he was collecting cans from nearby bars.
