Drugs. A 29-year-old man was arrested for possession of methamphetamine in the 1300 block of 85th Avenue NE. after officers responded to a report of a suspicious person.

Curfew violation. A 17-year-old boy was cited for a curfew violation at 109th Avenue and Jefferson Highway.

MARCH 1

Theft. Tools were stolen out of a vehicle in the 13100 block of Union Terrace Lane.

Disorderly conduct. A woman suspected of previous gas station drive-offs was confronted and told she was barred from SuperAmerica, 1350 Larpenteur Av. She threw a glass of ice at employees and left the store.

MARCH 4

Public intoxication. Officers responded to a report of a man lying on the side of the road at NE. Mississippi Street and University Avenue NE. They located an intoxicated 42-year-old man and took him to a detox facility.

MARCH 5

Child found. Officers responded to a report of a child found in a lobby in the 6000 block of University Avenue NE. They found the 3-year-old girl by herself and later located the 25-year-old mother, who had been sleeping when the girl got out. The mother said the child had unlocked the apartment door and sneaked out.

Suspicious activity. A woman reported finding a pair of boots in her driveway in the 5400 block of NE. Madison Street. The boots were placed in the property room at the police department.

Check welfare. Officers responded to a report of a 911 hang-up call at a home in the 1500 block of NE. Madison Street. They found a child playing with the phone.

MARCH 5

Domestic. Officers responded to a dispute between brothers-in-law in the 5900 block of NE. 3rd Street. The men, ages 29 and 44, were arguing over a drinking glass. No charges were filed.

MARCH 2

Texting while driving. A deputy saw a driver take both hands off the wheel to text on his phone after making a turn at Warner Avenue and Stillwater Road. The driver was stopped and a citation was e-mailed to him.

FEB. 26

Curfew violation. Five juveniles were found in violation of curfew in the 2300 block of White Bear Avenue. They were given a warning and released to the custody of parents or a responsible adult.

MARCH 5

Drunken driving. A 40-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving after she was stopped for going the wrong way on County Road 10 at County Road H2.

MARCH 8

Theft. A 1999 Honda Civic was stolen from a driveway in the 2200 block of Chesire Lane.

WOODBURY

MARCH 3

Animal concern. A resident in the 8500 block of Pinehurst Alcove reported to police that he believed there was a coyote in his garage. His neighbor said the animal in the garage was her dog. Upon opening the garage door, the animal was found to be the dog and returned to its owner.
