BLAINE

APRIL 11

Theft. A puppy valued at $1,999 was stolen from Four Paws and a Tail, 120 Northtown Drive NE.

APRIL 13

Theft. Someone reported that change had been stolen from their vehicle in the 1000 block of Baltimore Street NE. The suspect, a 27-year-old man, dropped his phone in the victim's car and was later arrested.

CIRCLE PINES

APRIL 13

Theft. A resident from the 100 block of East Golden Lake Road reported that a fire hydrant had been stolen from his front yard.

FRIDLEY

APRIL 12

Check welfare. Officers responded to a report of a 911 hang-up call from a home in the 5800 block of 6th Street NE. They found that a child was playing with the phone.

HAM LAKE

APRIL 10

Theft. A purse was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 15500 block of Central Avenue NE.

Drugs. A 54-year-old man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop for expired vehicle registration at Crosstown Boulevard and Hwy. 65 NE.

LAUDERDALE

APRIL 11

Traffic. A 63-year-old man was arrested and cited for driving after revocation and displaying impounded plates.

Suspicious activity. An employee of a business in the 700 block of Century Avenue told police that a man had come into the store and asked about the window sign that said they did not have access to the safe. An officer talked to the man — who questioned whether he had taken a police oath — and thought the man was just looking for an argument.

MOUNDS VIEW

APRIL 14

Theft. A TV was stolen from an apartment in the 2300 block of County Road I. It was later found at a pawnshop.

APRIL 18

Theft. A skid loader valued at $72,000 was stolen from a construction site at Highway Avenue and County Road H. It was later found at another construction site by White Bear Lake police.

NEWPORT

APRIL 13

Suspicious activity. Two people were observed on trail camera footage trying to set a structure on fire at Loveland Park, 1624 Glen Road. Extra patrol was ordered for the area.

OAK GROVE

APRIL 14

Driving violation. A 22-year-old man was arrested for driving after suspension and fleeing an officer after he was stopped for not having a valid driver's license in the 19500 block of Drake Street NW. He fled on foot but was later located while riding a bicycle.

WOODBURY

APRIL 13

Suspicious activity. A man dressed in camouflage and shooting a BB gun was reported in the 8900 block of Springwood Drive. An officer responding to the call found a freshly slain rabbit but no sign of the man.

APRIL 14

Swindle. Someone in the 7000 block of Lydia Lane reported selling a pair of basketball shoes on eBay for $370 and shipping them to an address in Illinois, only to find that the buyer had canceled payment for the shoes.
