The early returns for fan voting on American League All-Stars doesn’t look promising for having a Twins starter. The first AL results were announced Tuesday, and no Twins player is among the top three at his position.
The highest-ranking Twin at any position is Brian Dozier, who stands fourth among second basemen. The only other Twin in the top five at a position is catcher Kurt Suzuki, who is fifth.
The 2014 All-Star Game will be played at Target Field on July 15.
The leading vote-getter is Angels outfielder Mike Trout with 764,007 votes.
The first National League returns will be announced Wednesday. The next update on fan voting for both leagues will be on June 8.
