Ok, it's down to Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox for the 'Idol' crown this year. Not much drama in that (see vote tally below). I think Lee could edge her out and take it, but she's got a strong fan base.

The bigger headline is that next week will be Simon Cowell's last two shows as a judge. No word on his replacement (producers say they won't reveal a decision until the season is complete), though many names have been tossed out: Jamie Foxx, Sir Elton John, Victoria Beckham. I would love to see Harry Connick Jr. take that fourth spot. He has a real knack for engaging the contestants and he's not afraid to dish out the criticism.

Blogger Perez Hilton has thrown his hat in the ring. He told MTV.com he wants Simon's seat: "My name has been mentioned several times as a possible replacement for Simon Cowell, mainly by me - I'm not even joking, I would work for free the first season."

Perez added: "I've shamelessly been campaigning for the job and I am adamant and I believe I would do a great job."

47 million votes were cast to determine the finalists. Last season's Top 3 garnered 88 million votes, which indicates the show needs some changes to keep fans interested.

Cowell is leaving the show to launch the "The X Factor" in the U.S.
