A search Thursday in Superior, Wis., for a missing Duluth teen did not find any sign of him or anything that would help to find him, police said.

Sylvester McCurry, 18, was last seen about 11 p.m. Sunday leaving the Stargate Nightclub in Superior. Those close to him say this is out of character for him.

After Thursday's search, "there is no information in the investigation at this point that would indicate foul play is involved in McCurry's disappearance," said Superior police Capt. Chad La Lor.

The nightclub was the starting point for Thursday's search, involving Superior and Duluth police, McCurry's friends and family, as well as county agencies from Wisconsin and Minnesota. Working from the ground and air, they were able to search the north end of Superior before calling off the ground search about 12:30 p.m., Superior police said.

La Lor also said that was very likely intoxicated when he left the club and did not get alcohol there, so police asked Superior residents to check their property for anything suspicious and report any finds to police.

Earlier, police said McCurry went to Stargate with his brother and ran into friends there. He left the club without telling anyone that he was leaving or where he was going.

McCurry is described as black with a light complexion, 5 feet 11 inches tall, 150 pounds with short brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and white Nike shoes.

Anyone that sees him is asked to call police immediately. Anyone with information that could lead to finding him is asked to call 1-218-730-5400.
