No injuries when school bus goes up in flames on I-94 in Maplewood

A school bus became engulfed in flames Tuesday afternoon, blocking traffic Tuesday afternoon on eastbound Interstate 94 in Maplewood.

Nobody was injured, and there were no students on the bus, according to Minnesota State Patrol Lt. Eric Roeske. The ramp from 94 to Century Avenue was closed.

It happened shortly after 3 p.m, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Authorities were investigating the cause of the fire.
