A fire raced through a duplex in the 3000 block of Aldrich Avenue S. in Minneapolis' Uptown area on Monday night but caused no injuries.
The blaze is thought to have started in the attic, according to Twitter reports, then dropped to the second floor of the 2½-story house. At one point, flames could be seen shooting from a second-floor dormer window.
Firefighters rescued a dog trapped in a kennel, carrying it to their truck. The dog appeared to be OK.
No one was home when the fire started, and no injuries were reported.
The cause is under investigation, the Fire Department's Twitter account said.
