The Jayhawks' Gary Louris rocks out at First Avenue Star Tribune photo by David Brewster The set list for the second night of the Jayhawks at First Avenue was not all that different from the opening night's. The hometown heroes did the same three songs from their forthcoming new album, their first with co-lead singer Mark Olson since 1995. Saturday's crowd got "Nevada, California," 'Warm River" and "No Place." Sunday's got "Sister Cry," "Two Angels," "Darling Today" and "Up Above My Head." On Sunday, I thought it took the band about six songs to get warmed up. During the two-hour set, the Jayhawks were at their best on the melancholy numbers ("Two Hearts," "Two Angels," "Settled down Like Rain") and the jaunty and jangly ones ("I'd Run Away," "Miss Williams' Guitar,""Bad Time," ) as well as the spirited spiritual "Up Above My Head." Which show did you think was better – Saturday's or Sunday's? Here is Sunday's set list: Wichita/ Sister Cry/ Real Light/ Red's Song/ Nothing Left To Borrow/ Tomorrow the Green Grass/ Two Hearts/ Two Angels/ Settled Down Like Rain/ She Walks in So Many Ways (new) / Blue/ I'd Run Away/ Darling Today/ Miss Williams' Guitar/ Black Eyed Susan (new)/ Bad Time/ People in This Place on Every Side/ Waiting for the Sun/ 10 Little Kids ENCORE Tampa to Tulsa/ Clouds/ Guilder Annie (new)/ Up Above My Head/ ENCORE 2 Over My Shoulder/ Lights

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
