Nick Gordon's three-run homer leads Saints to 4-3 victory over Iowa

Nick Gordon hit a three-run homer in the fifth inning and Brent Rooker followed with a solo shot as the St. Paul Saints defeated the Iowa Cubs 4-3 on Friday night at CHS Field. Gordon's homer was his first this season; Rooker hit his third.

Andrew Albers got the win for the Saints (4-6), giving up two runs and seven hits in six innings.

Danny Coulombe got his first save, pitching 1⅓ scoreless innings.

The Cubs (5-4) scored single runs in the first, second and eighth innings.
