Wild goalie Josh Harding was named the NHL's "First Star" of the week.

Harding beat the Red Wings 2-1 in overtime in Detroit on Tuesday, stopped the Canucks 5-1 on Thursday at the X, and stopped visiting St. Louis 2-1 on Saturday night. He had a 0.99 goals-against average and .968 saves percentage as the Wild climbed into second place in the Northwest Division.

Harding leads the NHL with a .965 saves percentage and is second is goals-against average (1.18).

The "Second Star" was Dallas winger Loui Eriksson, who had two goals and four assists in two games. The "Third Star" was Washington center Nicklas Backstrom, who had three goals and three assists in three games.
