NFL schedule to be released Tuesday

The NFL has finally provided an answer about when its regular-season schedule will be released.

April 14, 2010 at 6:40PM

The NFL was expected to announce its opening week prime-time games and its Thanksgiving schedule late last month at the owners meetings in Orlando.

However, that never happened and until Wednesday we were left to speculate on when the league was going to release the full 2010 schedule. We finally have an answer. It will come out at 6 p.m. Tuesday on the NFL's website (www.nfl.com). At the same time, the NFL Network will have a two-hour show to analyze the schedule.

This means we likely will find out that the Vikings will open on Sept. 9 at New Orleans. There also have been rumors the Vikings will end up playing the Jets in their new stadium on Thanksgiving night. As of next Tuesday, we will no longer have to play this guessing game and we will finally get answers.
