NFL playoff picture: Week 16

Four teams have clinched playoff spots, and nine others hope to clinch this weekend. Here is what they must do (assuming no games end in ties):

NFC

Seattle (12-2): Has clinched a playoff spot. It can clinch the West title with a win or a San Francisco loss.

New Orleans (10-4): Can clinch the South title with a win.

Carolina (10-4): Can clinch a playoff spot with a win, or if Arizona and San Francisco lose.

San Francisco (10-4): Can clinch a playoff spot with a win or an Arizona loss.

Philadelphia (8-6): Can clinch the East title with a win and a Dallas loss.

Chicago (8-6): Can clinch the North title with a win and losses by Detroit and Green Bay.

Others: Arizona (9-5), Green Bay (7-6-1), Detroit (7-7) and Dallas (7-7) are mathematically alive for playoff berths.

AFC

Indianapolis (9-5): Has clinched the South title.

Denver (11-3), Kansas City (11-3): Have clinched playoff spots. Denver can clinch the West title with a win and a Kansas City loss.

New England (10-4): Can clinch the East title with a win or a Miami loss, and can clinch a playoff spot with a Cincinnati loss.

Cincinnati (9-5): Can clinch the North title with a win and a Baltimore loss. It can clinch a playoff spot with a win and a Miami loss.

Baltimore (8-6): Can clinch a playoff spot with a win, a Miami loss and a San Diego loss.

Miami (8-6): Can clinch a playoff spot with a win, a Baltimore loss and a Cincinnati loss.

Others: San Diego (7-7) and Pittsburgh (6-8) are mathematically alive for playoff berths.
