Leading scorer in the 2006 playoffs when Carolina won Stanley Cup. Four-time All-Star Game selection (last in 2011). Won gold medal with Canada at 2010 Olympics.

Family ties: Younger brothers Marc, 29, and Jordan, 28, are NHL veterans. Jared, 25, played in two NHL games.

Chris Stewart, W

Age: 28

Contract: Two years, $2.3 million

NHL career: In 519 games has 137 goals, 147 assists, 284 points and 608 penalty minutes. Had eight goals and 12 assists in 56 games for Anaheim last season.

Return visit: Played in 28 games for the Wild in 2014-15 (including playoffs), with three goals and 10 assists.

Alex Stalock, G

Age: 28

Contract: Two-way, $650,000 NHL/$300,000 minor leagues

NHL career: In 62 games, is 24-19-7 with a 2.37 goals-against average and .911 saves percentage. Played 13 games for San Jose last season.

Coming home: Stalock is from South St. Paul and played three seasons at Minnesota Duluth (2006-09).

Victor Bartley, D, and Pat Cannone, W

The skinny: Bartley, a 28-year-old defenseman, has one goal and 22 assists in 121 NHL games with Nashville and Montreal. Cannone, 29, has been a standout AHL winger the past five seasons but has yet to make his NHL debut.
