New Storm in the Works

Here comes another one! This graphic shows the storm in its beginningstages. The wet weather in the northern Rockies Monday will gradually workacross the northern Plains Monday night and Tuesday.The storm will be supported by the usual group of characters, including a verylarge temperature gradient between warm air to the east and colder air to thewest.

Wednesday morning, the storm will be centered over western Kansas producingrain from the Front Range in Colorado to the Upper Midwest. To the south,severe thunderstorms with damaging winds and hail will break out acrossOklahoma and Texas.

In regards to snow, the high mountains of Colorado will most certainly getseveral inches from the storm. Elsewhere, this will mainly be a rain event, buta little wet snow is possible from North Dakota into northern Minnesota.

The East will not feel any effects from this system until the end of the week.
