A booking that might turn a few heads but will still turn out way better than the club's last big metal show, Snoop Dogg has confirmed a Jan. 25 at the Cabooze. Tickets go on sale Friday at 11 a.m. for $35 via www.ticketfly.com or Cabooze outlets. Snoop Dogg is slated to release his new single, "Wet," today at 6:20 p.m. CT via his website. The song was purportedly written for Prince William's bachelor party.

Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt -- who have played in town several times before and have a great rapport -- will return together for an acoustic/songwriters show Feb. 7 at the State Theatre. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. for $43-$78.50.

Cold War Kids included a March 10 date at First Avenue among tour dates announced today. Their new album, "Mine Is Yours," comes out Jan. 25.
