A new poll in the Minnesota governor's race, found three DFL candidates leading Republican candidate Tom Emmer but that the race remains close.

DFLer Margaret Anderson Kelliher did the best against Emmer with 40 percent to his 35 percent but DFLer Mark Dayton did nearly as well with 40 percent to his 36 percent. Matt Entenza, the third high-profile DFLer vying in an August DFL primary, got 37 percent to Emmer's 36 percent in the Fox9-Rasmussen poll.

The poll, which had margin of error of 4.5 percentage points, found that Independence Party candidate Tom Horner would get around 10 percent in any of the hypothetical match-ups.

A May Fox 9 poll found that Emmer had a slim lead over each of the DFLers.

According to the cross-tabs, which show more details of the poll and Fox 9 provided here, older voters skew heavily toward the DFL candidates. The DFL lead is most pronounced in the Dayton-Emmer-Horner match-up among those older than 65 -- the DFLer had a 19 point lead.

The poll also found that all three DFL candidates had hefty leads over Emmer among voters who call themselves moderate.

The Republican, however, had a comfortable lead over Dayton, Kelliher and Entenza with people who said they made between $75,000 and $100,000 a year.

Half of Minnesotans surveyed approve and half disapprove of the jobs both Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty and President Barack Obama are doing, according to the poll.

It also found that a majority -- 54 percent -- approve of the idea of repealing the health care overhaul passed this year and 64 percent would want an Arizona-style immigration law in Minnesota.
