Well, a new building at least.

Abbott Northwestern, which delivers more babies each year than any other hospital in Minnesota, and Children's Hospitals and Clinics are building a new Mother/Baby Hospital in Minneapolis, where high-risk babies won't have to be whisked away to another building.

And here's what Dr. Steve Calvin, an Abbott OB and expert on high-risk pregnancies, had to say after reading the story:

"It is good news that the Mother/Baby Hospital will finally be built. Contrary to the opinion of the consultant quoted at the end of your article it is infinitely more than a marketing ploy. For the 21 year that I have been providing care at Abbott it is a miracle that such great neonatal outcomes have been possible with my pediatric colleagues required to run through a quarter mile tunnel. This new collaboration between Allina and Children's will be a great improvement in care."
