Work on HealthEast's new clinic in Stillwater is complete and doctors will begin seeing patients at the facility on Tuesday.
The clinic at the northwest corner of Hwy. 36 and County Road 5 features two-room care suites. This setup will allow patients to have private consultation in a room that is designed to feel like home and to have exams conducted in an adjacent room, said Jennifer Landers, a family medicine physician and medical director of HealthEast Stillwater.
"The innovative design was created specifically with our patients' comfort in mind," she said. "We've designed a clinic that puts patients at ease."
The 14th clinic in the HealthEast system will be staffed by family medicine physicians and nurse midwives. It also will have an on-site lab and digital X-ray technology, said Jodi Ritacca, HealthEast senior public relations specialist.
The clinic is accepting appointments at 651-471-5600.

Ribbon-cutting for new-look ApplebeesThe Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting Tuesday to celebrate the completion of a remodeling project at the Applebees at 13625 N. 60th St.
The restaurant was closed for three days during mid-August for a facelift inside and out, said general manager Jay Noseworthy. The improvements, intended to give the restaurant a more contemporary look, included a reconstruction of the bar area and new carpet, TVs and furniture on the inside, and landscaping and stone-facing on the outside.
"It was like Home Improvement, but restaurant-style," Noseworthy said. Similar remodeling efforts have have occurred at Applebees in Woodbury, Forest Lake, White Bear Lake and Hudson, Wis., he said.
