Are you ready for D'Angelo to come back? In August? With a band?

The long-lost soul man, who just did a duo show on June 23 at First Avenue with Questlove, is returning to the club on Aug. 6 with his full band, which includes guitarist Jesse Johnson (of the Time fame) and bassist Pino Palladino (who has played with the Who, John Mayer and others). The opening act will probably be LP Music, a new project featuring Eric Leeds, Paul Peterson, Stokley Williams and Peter Schimke.

Other new concerts:

Darius Rucker Sept. 20 at Mystic Lake Casino. Tickets will go on sale Saturday.

The Waterboys Oct 19 at the Fitzgerald. Tickets will go on sale Friday.

The Blue Sky Riders, a new trio featuring Kenny Loggins, ace songwriter Gary Burr and Georgia Middleman, Aug. 30 at the State Theatre. Tickets will go on sale Friday.
