NEW AT THE ROSEVILLE LIBRARY

Upstairs: Adult fiction and nonfiction are housed in the new L-shaped second-floor addition.

Downstairs: Children and teen areas, as well as movies and music.

Computers: 120 computer terminals offer Internet access. Study areas have outlets for laptops, and there's Wi-Fi service throughout.

Eco-friendly aspects: Rain gardens to absorb stormwater runoff, floors and furniture made of recycled materials, low-flow plumbing and motion-sensing lighting.

Square footage: 73,000.

Cost to renovate: $18 million.

Celebration: There will be a party for the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the library, 2081 N. Hamline Av., Roseville.
