Near-Record Heat for the Ohio Valley

Despite Thursday being the first full day of autumn, summer will not go downwithout a fight across the Ohio Valley.A strong, southwesterly flow of air will allow afternoon temperatures to climbinto the lower 90s across the Ohio Valley Thursday afternoon. New record-hightemperatures for the date will likely be set in some cities.

Temperatures will continue to average well above normal across the region intoFriday, before slightly cooler weather arrives for the weekend.
