Old school

Eddie Murphy deserved the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor that he received this month — even though he hasn't turned in a truly inspiring comedic performance since 1996's "The Nutty Professor," in which he played seven characters, each with the kind of commitment that he has been missing in recent years. Time for another comeback — and, no, we don't mean "Shrek 5." 6:56 p.m. BET

Cold case

The discovery of a 200-year-old corpse leads the casts of "Bones" and "Sleepy Hollow" into the fairy-tale world of Crossover Land. The two-hour collaboration could get messy when Ichabod Crane confesses to the members of the more established drama that he prefers their earlier work. 7 p.m. KMSP, Ch. 9

Center court

"Nowitzki: The Perfect Shot" chronicles the rise of Dallas Mavericks superstar Dirk Nowitzki with comments from Mark Cuban, Kobe Bryant and that underappreciated point guard, Helmut Schmidt. In addition to being a documentary, "Shot" could also serve as an audition tape for a new "Space Jam" movie. 10 p.m. AXS TV
