Back in the ring

"From Rocky to Creed: The Legacy Continues" serves primarily as an hourlong trailer to the umpteenth sequel in the "Rocky" saga, but it's also a reminder of how Sylvester Stallone created one of cinema's great underdogs. It's such a convincing sales job that you'll almost forgive him for "Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot." 7 p.m. Epix

Bellamy Young takes her eyes off the president in "Scandal" long enough to ogle the candidates for "People's Sexiest Man Alive 2015," yet another race in which Bernie Sanders is in contention. The good doctor

Aside from Mariska Hargitay, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" has never gotten many props for its cast, but the procedural has endured in large part because of its deep roster of theater-trained performers, including B.D. Wong, who left the show in 2011 but still makes occasional guest appearances. This is one of those special times with the actor returning as FBI psychiatrist Dr. George Huang. 8 p.m. KARE, Ch. 11
