Going, going, gone

"30 for 30" has churned out some great sports documentaries over the years, but it remains hard to top 2011's "Catching Hell," Alex Gibney's hilarious yet heartbreaking account of how Steve Bartman became the most wanted enemy in Chicago since Al Capone. During a 2003 Cubs playoffs game he deflected a foul ball that may have ruined the team's best chance in decades to go to the World Series. 6 p.m. ESPN

Flying blind

Looking for a sophisticated version of short-attention span theater? Try "Dates," the British export that focuses each week on a first date between people who have met through an online dating service. The action is slow and often ambiguous, but the low-key acting is first-rate, particularly in the opening episode that features sympathetic performances from Oona Chaplin and Will Mellor. 8 p.m. WUCW, Ch. 23

Lost Vegas

The supernatural drama "Dominion" returns for a second season as lower angels continue their mission to destroy humanity, even if that means getting rid of Las Vegas. Apparently, these angels never fully appreciated the endless buffet at Caesar's Palace. 9 p.m. Syfy
