The most popular girl in class

Shirley Temple didn't just hold court on the Good Ship Lollipop. The star was so big in her heyday that she easily earns the title of TCM's Star of Month with tributes every Monday night this month. The latest marathon sets sail with 1936's "Stowaway," in which Temple plays an orphan making her way from Shanghai to New York. 7 p.m. TCM

O, Pioneer!

If you were glad to spend some time together in the past with Carol Burnett, feel free to do so again in this repeat of 2013's "Mark Twain Prize." Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph are among the current female comics who pay tribute. 8 p.m. TPT, Ch. 2

Bear witness

"Running Wild With Bear Grylls" continues to take celebrities out of their comfort zones. In this season premiere, Oscar nominee Kate Hudson tries to master Italy's Dolomite Mountains without the aid of a makeup artist or catering truck. 9 p.m. KARE, Ch. 11
