The empire strikes late

"Saturday Night Live" prides itself on defying authority, but the late-night staple may be pushing its luck by delaying its broadcast this weekend to accommodate coverage of the NFL playoffs. Host Adam Driver, best known for playing the latest "Star Wars" baddie, has already started trashing his dressing room. 10:59 p.m. (est.) Saturday, KARE, Ch. 11

Everyone's a critic

The road to Oscar goes through the 21st Annual Critic's Choice Awards, with Jennifer Lawrence boasting three nominations. Guess this is as good a time as any to announce the launch of the Neal Justin Kiss-Up Awards, with trophies presented to any celebrities who actually acknowledge the event. "Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2" leads the field. 7 p.m. Sunday, A&E, Lifetime, LMN

Boys will be boys

Paul Giamatti and Damian Lewis growl at each other like rabid bulldogs — really powerful ones — in "Billions," a WWE bout set on Wall Street. But it's actresses Malin Akerman and Maggie Siff who stick out, each doing creative takes on Lady Macbeth. 9 p.m. Sunday, Showtime
