Got to have faith

Put all that you picked up during the Christmas Eve sermon to good use while watching "Bible Bowl," a contest that pits seven teams of youngsters against each other to see who knows the most about everything from Adam to Zechariah. 7 p.m. TLC

Hooked on a feeling

"Heroin: Cape Cod, USA" is the latest documentary to shatter the stereotypes that addiction is limited to the mean streets of urban cities. Eight twenty-somethings are interviewed, along with members of a support group, all shattered by a drug that may no longer be trendy, but still carries traumatic weight. 8 p.m. HBO

Baby, what a big surprise

Escape the winter doldrums with a trip to the "Best of New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival 2015," a chance to groove to the music of the Who, Jimmy Buffett and Ed Sheeran without the long lines at the Porta Potties. Also featured: Chicago, which is inexplicably slipping into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame before Janet Jackson. 8:45 p.m. AXS TV
